From the 2024 season, Hoosier will be the new tire partner in the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup. The US manufacturer, which specializes exclusively in racing tires, is supplying the new slick and rain tires for the junior league, which are optimally matched to the Cup car.
The new season starts with racing tires from Hoosier. The U.S.A.-based racing tire manufacturer has been a 100% subsidiary of Continental AG since 2016 and is the world's largest manufacturer of racing tires with over 1000 tire specifications. The tires designed by Hoosier for the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup were convincing all along the line in the tests: "The dimensions fit perfectly to the rim and the car, and the tire compound we have chosen takes into account both the vehicle weight and the length of the races," reports Matthias Meyer, who is responsible for the development of the vehicles and technical support. "Hoosier's new tires have a good balance between performance and wear and will give our drivers a lot of pleasure for years to come. We look forward to continuing to work with them and would like to thank Hoosier in advance for the active support we received during the test phase," he adds.
For Hoosier, the three-year partnership is another step in expanding its presence in Europe. "As a junior league, the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup is the cornerstone for a career in professional sport. Young talents are trained sustainably and thus the Cup makes an important contribution to strengthening motorsport. We are very pleased to be able to support this with our products," says André Jo Voigt, who is responsible for business development at Hoosier in Europe.
In addition to Hoosier branding on the vehicles and driver suits, the cooperation also includes close cooperation in the area of social media, from which both sides will benefit in the future.
The Hoosier tires will be used for the first time at the test opener in Most (CZ) on 2-3 March. Until the season opener of the ADAC Touring Car Junior Cup, which takes place from 10-12 May at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, there will be further opportunities for teams and drivers to test the cars and tires as part of the pre-season preparations.
